This is the long version of a Central India tiger trip: three parks, seven safaris and a finish at the temples of Khajuraho. It begins at Nagpur, which has direct flights from most Indian cities, and ends at Khajuraho, which is a short flight from Delhi and Varanasi.
Pench is a gentle, forested park straddling the Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra border. Kanha has broad meadows and the barasingha. Bandhavgarh is compact and known for its tigers. Each is different, and the drives between them are four to six hours.
Tigers are wild and cannot be promised, but three parks and seven safaris give you a very good chance.
