Old Delhi is the walled city built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century, and its lanes still hold the food of those courts and of the traders who came later. A walk through it is a way to see the city that most visitors only look at from a car.
You walk with a guide who knows the lanes and the cooks, eat at stalls and shops we trust, and learn what you are eating. Dishes include paratha, chaat, kebab, sweets and drinks, with vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices. It is a half-day walk, so you can add it to an Agra or Jaipur trip.
