Short answer: a luxury Golden Triangle is a seven-day private journey through Delhi, Agra and Jaipur with five-star and heritage palace hotels, a private chauffeur, private guides, the Taj Mahal at sunrise and an early start at Amber Fort. Each road leg is under six hours, and afternoons are kept free for rest.
Luxury in India is not about shopping stops or a long list of sights. It is about rooms you look forward to returning to, timing that avoids the crowds, a car you are glad to be in and a team that remembers how you like your tea. That is how we plan this journey.
You stay in five-star and heritage palace hotels, and the names are set out in your proposal, chosen for location and quality rather than a fixed list. Sightseeing is arranged for the best hours: the Taj Mahal at sunrise, Amber Fort early, and long afternoons left free. You travel with a private chauffeur and your own licensed guides, and one Travelage host stays in touch from your first message to your last day.

Met at the airport by a Travelage host and taken to your hotel. Rest, with no plans, unless you want an early dinner somewhere memorable.
A full day with a private guide, paced for you: Jama Masjid, a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, the Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar and India Gate. We can build the day around food, architecture or craft. The Red Fort is closed on Mondays.
Drive about 230 km (145 miles) to Agra (three and a half to four hours). Check in and rest, then visit Agra Fort in the late afternoon.
Visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise with your private guide, then return to the hotel for breakfast and rest. In the afternoon, visit Itimad-ud-Daulah and a family inlay workshop, or simply stay at the hotel. The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays, so we plan around that.
Drive about 240 km (150 miles) to Jaipur (five to six hours), stopping at Fatehpur Sikri. Arrive by late afternoon at a heritage hotel.
An early start at Amber Fort (by jeep or on foot), then the City Palace and Jantar Mantar with your private guide. The afternoon is free. We can arrange a block-printing visit, a private dinner or simply rest, as you prefer.
Drive about 280 km (175 miles) to Delhi (five to six hours) and transfer to the airport. Please plan flights from the evening onwards.
